[Koha-devel] Install master on debian jessie

Anything outside of the /var/www directory will need a directory
directive similar to:

<Directory /home/liz/rmaint-3.18/koha/>
        Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
        AllowOverride None
        Require all granted
</Directory>

in Apache 2.4.

I stuck mine in apache2.conf, but I think you can stick it in
conf-available, which you would then enable with

sudo a2enconf filenameofyourconfigfile.conf

Worth trying anyway.
