Might I suggest another question which I'd place first?
"I would like to take part in a Debian packaging workshop."
"Definitely, just tell me where."
"Maybe, depending on where it is."
"Not sure, but maybe in the future."
"I am not interested at all."

Because I have no ability to travel (unless people want to donate airfare, 
etc.), but I would love to go to one.
