So I took a brand new 16.04LTS server and installed koha-16.05.01.tar.gz 
which un-tars as 3.22.07. Not easy. Mostly dependencies. Tried 
koha.oldstable and koha.stable with no success -- HTTPD::Bench::ApacheBench 
is more than problematic, libbusiness-isbn-perl is already the newest 
version (2.010-1ubuntu2) and libtest-www-mechanize-perl is already the 
newest version (1.42-1) -- but above all Test::DBIx::Class is a headache 
compiling from CPAN.

Finally got things up and running, but ... MySQL 5.7 was only happy with 
our import from 3.8 -- 3.16 failed. Single non-lending library, 40,000 
biblios, 120,000 items, sql dump (clean, no logs etc) just under half a 
gig. Memcached installed. First impressions: using Zebra works but is very 
slow (top shows single core of CPU overloaded.) I want to try "elastic 
search" but need more time to work on it...

No need to tell me not to use tarballs (been there, been told; lost cause, 
I love simplicity.)
