I am a complete newbie when it comes to git and all the technical stuff (I'm a plain librarian, not a programmer). I have lots of questions on the gitlab process (and the wiki is not working, so no answers there). I went onto gitlab and created an account. I 'forked' from the main kohadocs project. I downloaded the zip file of the project on my computer. Now, I was trying to add some simple infos to the 09_acquisitions file, just to test the workflow. I'm using Atom as an editor. I wanted to add some bullet points explaining the checkboxes when creating a new vendor. This is what I added to Atom on lines 85-96 (after the two first lines) : ?? -? I looked at your repository and it doesn't look so bad: https://gitlab.com/carolinecyr/kohadocs/commits/master There are 4 commits with changes on top of master. Usually what you will want to do is create a new branch with your changes and work on the branch instead of master. But I think you can still submit from where you are now. Try: Merge requests > New merge requests Compare your branch to the koha-docs master branch. It should list all 4 of your commit and you should be able to save that. If everything works alright, you should have created a merge request on the koha-docs repository in the end and it should be visible here: https://gitlab.com/koha-community-devs-users/kohadocs/merge_requests I think you can safely ignore the email about the failing pipeline at the moment. You can't render a pdf say, share it with someone and not give them the underlying sphinx code if they ask. Also your modified version will be under the GPL too so you can not prohibit someone else modifying it. IE they get the same rights as you. * the GPL and many other licenses including creative commons are based around copyright. The license is the copyright holder(s) giving people extra rights. They can only legally do that because they have the copyright. Their circulation rules indicate that items may be put on hold only if all the items on the record are unavailable. However, we noticed that if some items on the record have a "not for loan" status or a "withdrawn" status, Koha considers them available (not checked out) and doesn't accept the hold. I don't think withdrawn, damaged, restricted or not for loan items should be considered available in that case. Does anyone have a workaround for that situation? Thanks!
