As this is a security release, if you are running Koha 3.22, an upgrade is recommended. Koha 16.05 is an awesome release. There are enhancements throughout the application and when reading the release notes (go on, you should! https://koha-community.org/koha-16-05-released/), one can't but be impressed by the size (and output) of the developer team. Some highlights of this release are the introduction of EDIFACT features into the Acquisitions module, addition of a Forgotten Password facility to the OPAC and the ability to pay fines via PayPal. Debian packages for this release will be available shortly. Congratulations to Nic van Oudtshoorn of Perth Bible College for his work on bug 10988. Note the change of release version numbering (16.05). This was agreed by the Koha community in March and brings to an end the 3.xx series. Future releases will be 16.11 (November), 17.05 (May next year), 17.11 etc. I wouldn't recommend racing out to implement this today, but its great to see how Koha just keeps getting better and better. Enjoy! Thank you to everyone who helped make this work! Koha!!! Please note ? Ubuntu 16.04 support is still WIP and isn?t supported at the moment, due to stricter MySQL version 5.7. All installs and updates should be done on versions previous to MySQL 5.7.
