Good afternoon everyone!

This is a reminder about the Koha Users' meeting next Thursday 13th July at 6pm at the Photography Studies College, 65 City Road, Southbank.

Many thanks to Allison Belcher who arranged the venue for us even while she was overseas.

Our speaker will be Donna Benjamin from Catalyst speaking about FOLIO and Koha, to update us on recent developments:

FOLIO and Koha.
The Koha team have been keeping an eye on the "Future of Libraries is
Open" initiative being funded by EBSCO. This talk will briefly describe
the FOLIO project, and outline where Koha might fit with this new platform.

Donna Benjamin is a Project Lead at Catalyst IT and is a passionate
advocate of the use of open source software. She also once almost became
a librarian.

And Bob Birchall will speak about the recent malware scare and how Koha is protected.

You are all welcome to join us for a light dinner in Southbank after the meeting (about 7.30pm).

If you could RSVP it would give us an idea of numbers, but otherwise please just come.

With kind regards,

Siobhan Foster
