I wrote the same patch yesterday ;-)
However, your patch has a problem and nahuel will submit mine.

Frederic : you must NOT include TMPL_IF in <option> (or in any other 
html tag), as it badly breaks the translator tool.

(+ you add syntax_ whatever the step the script is, it's useless : just 
add the syntax_ on "#initial form" but I would not have submitted my own 
patch just for that)
