Thanks for submitting patches.  As a general note, I do ask that you
leave off the comments with your initials, since the Git version
control system retains full version and authorship history and such
comments are otherwise of little value to somebody trying to use or
debug the code.  If for some reason it would be necessary for somebody
to figure out who is responsible for a given line, 'git blame' can
handle it.
