I am not sure we can totally avoid these constructs, but it's certainly something to keep in mind that can help make life easier for translators. I'd love if we could find a way to parse those constructs better, so they can be translated as one string/entry. If those who are comfortable with html and other code could export with intact sentences that could be helpful. (And yes that link might require a warning label for those just starting out) OR - is there a way to translate directly from the actual Koha interface? That could be highly useful when trying to iron out the quirks of a new translation. I know we have a few in sv-se stemming from the whole ?translating without context? issue. Parsing the strings out of the templates is quite a complicated matter, so not sure how and if that can be improved.
