At 13/Nov./2017 they were uploaded the new .po files for 17.11 manual. You can see them here: http://translate.koha-community.org/projects/man17.11/ Reading the senteces I see phrases like this: "the default you set in your :ref:`Currencies and Exchange Rates` administration area" My question is about how translate the name of anchor link. How can I translate it ? I can translate like: "il default che definisci nell'area dell'ammistrazione :ref:`Currencies and Exchange Rates`." ? If you translate both then the labelling will be consistent, if not you may have a warning on build time. So I suggest that you translate it as "il default che definisci nell'area dell'ammistrazione :ref:`Valute e tassi di cambio` When you find a string that has a label, for example ":ref:`Currencies and Exchange Rates `, the string between "<...>" must not be translated, it contains a 'label' for cross references. There is one string that is used in acquisitions and tools/marc_modification_templates, among others. The word in English is "Order". It is used in acquisitions as in "to place an order", or for the "order" itself, but in marc_modification_templates, is is used as "rank". In French, there are two different words for the two different meanings. So it either doesn't make sense in acquisitions or in marc_modification_templates. Is there a way to split the string in two so that one can be used in acquisitions and another in marc_modification_templates, since the meanings are different? Order, issue, item, subject, cancel, term? In the past this has mostly been solved by changing the templates to make the string more specific: subject > email subject cancel > cancel hold issue > serial issue ? We have two related Bugs: Bug 11285 - Vocabulary disambiguation https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11285 Bug 15395 - Allow correct handling of plural translation https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15395 The latter allows to add context to a string; see comment 28 on Bug 11285 by Julian Maurice: "...allows to attach context to a string, so the same string can be translated in different ways, depending on the context." A sustainable solution would be to move Bug 15395 forward. It's status is "Signed off". Marc Am 21.11.2017 um 23:00 schrieb Caroline Cyr-La-Rose: > > Hi all, > > I'm a bit stumped in my translations. And changing the English strings. And you can't do that. Le 21/11/2017 ? 23:00, Caroline Cyr-La-Rose a ?crit?: > > Hi all, > > I'm a bit stumped in my translations.
