Hi Bernardo.

Following Jonathan advice this the best place to ask.

In french manual there's a lot of unconverted &nbsp; 
eg:
https://koha-community.org/manual/19.11/fr/html/systempreferences.html

Description&nbsp;:

It'd be great if these #nbsp; and maybe other entities would replace with their actual value, ie no breaking space, whatever.

Hi Didier,
there are other html entities besides &nbsp;, &gt; for example.
I'll try to find and replace them in translation server.
Then you will need to ask other to update strings in the main doc repo to
update the generated html files.

But perhaps this is the result of using some tool to ease the translation,
there are no html entities in the source.

I'll tell you when it's done.

Typographic rules seem different between languages : we (ie french language team) use html entities such as &nbsp; because we need a space juste before :

I agree : reading a (translated in french) manual hurts due to these html entities which appear

Perhaps instructions are different if we translate the manual or the other projects ?

Would you mind telling us what we need to 'translate' >, ", 'unbreakable space' and other special characters ?
Later, job could be done once, without any "find and replace" after a translation

the fact is that I no see the need to use html entities, sphinx respects
space before or after ':', and for '>' or '_' you can write the char as is.

See for example:

(same text but with > )

In translation file
msgid "*Get there:* More > Acquisitions"

'>' symbol written as is
(msgstr "*Aller à : * Plus &gt; Acquisitions" originally)

Another example:

(look Description&nbsp;:)
and

(same with space before ':')

In translation file:
msgid "Description:"
msgstr "Description :"
The space is honored before ':'

If you find other cases where your typographic rules are not respected let
us know and we will try to help and find solution.
But html entities inide manual translations are translated verbatim, not as
html directives.
