Hi Arnab,

You can get the laser barcode scanner that connects to your PC via USB or
connects to your COM port. These are keyboard wedge type scanners that acts
like a keyboard when used. So when it scans a barcode, its the same as if
you've type that barcode using your keyboard onto whichever active
window/field.

As long as you are on the correct field where the barcode is supposed to be
keyed-in in Koha, you can scan the barcode and the barcode will appear. Most
scanners will also automatically add the "enter/return" signal.

So, to answer your question, any application is workable with a barcode
scanning facility. Koha works with it well very well when issuing an item.

Regards,
john
