I've spent my last three days trying to deploy Koha 3 on Windows, and through out my searches I could see that no one had reported a successful installation of Koha 3 on Windows (or at least that event hasn't yet been indexed by Google!) I'm not sure where you guys are currently, but I have been able to successfully install Koha 3 on Windows. I just finished the installation and testing, so what I am considering now is to re-install it again and write down the (rather simple) steps. For the impatient: I used the latest version of Strawberry perl (5.12.10.0), which includes LibXSLT by default (biggest problem resolved!). I also could compile Net::Z3950::ZOOM correctly by modifying the makefile, linking it to the libraries of the latest version of YAZ (4.0.12). I only made minor changes to the source code of two files in Koha directory: koha-conf.xml and Installer.pm. I also installed Koha in a directory that contains no spaces along its path. Hope that interests somebody. * Mazen Abdulaziz, Hadhramout University, College of Medicine* -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Testing the new installation of Koha 3 under Windows went smooth. Everything worked correctly except for batch-importing MARC records, which didn't work at all. Technically, the problem arouse when executing "stage-marc-import.pl," and Koha logged a "Premature End of Script Headers." -- I'm not sure if this is the correct list to be discussing technical and down-to-the-code problems. I have also talked to chris_n, who also successfully ported Koha 3 to Windows (surely before I did), and he said that he didn't have problems in the batch-marc importer tool, however he said that the performance of Koha is sluggish when provided ~7K of records. I'll come back once I get the batch-marc importer running. I am new to the Koha system. I stumbled on Koha 2.9 which I have successfully installed on Windows XP, but I have a problem to add members. The system is producing a blank Member Record page after filling in all the details in the Member Personal Details form and clicking Save button at the bottom. But each time I retry to enter the details which are showing as not being entered are appearing as you start typing them in the boxes. So what is causing this. I am aware that there is Koha 3.0 but I wanted to start with Koha 2.9 which looked to me to be easy to do. And by the way when I downloaded Koha 3.0 it has got .tar.gz extension, how do I execute this kind of a file. Or in short what step-by-step procedure can I follow to install Koha 3.0 on Windows XP? Thanking you in anticipation. Message-ID: Hi all and anyone in the mailing list: I would like some help with setting up the third dimension in the subscription prediction advanced module. I am right now running Koha 3.0.6 Live CD install via VirtualBox. I was trying to do this with the following two examples: 1. Quarterly (4/yr.) title, and the subscription starts with Volume 1, Number 1, 2005. 2. 10/yr. title, and subscription starts with Vol.5, No.7, 2008. So this looks like Vol. {X}, No. {Y}, {Z} (say, Vol.2, No.3, 2006) It is not clear what values I have to set the "inner count" and "set back to" rows for the {Z} (i.e., the year). There are no examples either on the FAQ or in the documentations with the {Z} filled in. Could someone help?
