Depending on whether you are using GRS-1 or DOM indexing, you will need to
edit either record.abs (for GRS-1) or biblio-koha-indexdefs.xml and
biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl (for DOM). I suspect you will want to add a
'pubdate:y' index and a 'pubdate:n' on 590$a. I do not know exactly what
side effects this change would have, nor whether this would work the way
you would like. I suspect it will probably break sorting on publication
date, at the very least. Also note that any changes you make will be lost
on upgrade.
