Searching a bit, hmm. The first weak(!) example I found in a test:
t/db_dependent/Illrequests.t:    isa_ok($patron->checkouts, 'Koha::Checkouts');
In this specific test at that time there is only 1 item. But if there were
more, we would have a problem.
