I think there's some confusion in these comments, and it took me some time to
unpack what is going on.

To clarify, the problem is when a Koha web user is doing a Z39.50/SRU search of
a remote host using SRU with HTTPS, right?

I'm going to take a quick look since this is the kind of problem that itches my
brain...
