Is that even possible if holds are automatically triggered for the next hold
after cancellation? (maybe I'm not completely understanding the process).

Anyway, IMO, I think it is overkill to have a backup for a backup.  The
confirmation should be the end-all.  An undo seems like it is out of the scope
of this project anyway.
