As a middle ground for the search bar changes stuff as it appears to be the
most contentious part..  I re-read the comments on the Mock-ups and Myka's
comments seems really relevant.

We could fairly easily get the best of both worlds as an interim option.. with
a system preference that either embeds the search stuff in the top header OR
uses Owens separate bar as the alternate option... Thoughts?
