https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43576 --- Comment #93 from Martin Renvoize (ashimema) <martin.renvoize@openfifth.co.uk> --- Created attachment 208508 --> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=208508&action=edit Bug 43576: (follow-up) Apply the collapsed sidebar state before first paint QA feedback: collapse the sidebar and navigate to another page and the full menu shows briefly before the document-ready handler restores the collapsed state. The body is made visible before that handler runs, so the page painted expanded first. Set a sidebar-collapsed class on <html> from a small inline script in the document head, and let the stylesheet apply the collapsed width, the main column width and the chevron glyph from it. sidebar.js still sets .collapsed, the chevron classes and aria-expanded as before, so the existing behaviour and Sidebar_spec.ts are unchanged. This also stops sidebar.js from rewriting $("main").parent() on pages that have no sidebar at all, where a stored collapsed state turned the main column into col-md-12 at 90% width. setSidebarState now returns early when there is no #sidebar-container, and the main column width is handled in CSS under the same min-width as the toggle itself.
