http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=858 Summary: Reserve cancellation-on-checkout feature removed Product: Koha Version: 2.2.0 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: Circulation AssignedTo: chris@katipo.co.nz ReportedBy: oleonard@athenscounty.lib.oh.us QAContact: koha-bugs@lists.sourceforge.net In previous version of Koha if you tried to issue a book which was reserved for another patron, you would be presented with a question along the lines of: Item is reserved, continue with check-out? If you said yes, it would then ask you if you wanted to cancel the reserve--this is helpful because sometimes a man comes in to check out an item for his wife. He uses his card, so the reserve has to be overridden, but the reserve can also be cancelled, because the transaction is actually fulfilling the reserve. This process is gone in the latest release. The process sometimes didn't work properly (see bug 668), but it was an important part of the circulation feature-set and should be restored. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
