Could it be that some other process is overloading the CPU which could explain that the addbiblio is getting a timeout ? I recently had some similar issues and I do not trust the z3950 searches for instance. This is a asynchronous search that might create problems under Plack, where I would not expect that so quickly for addbiblio ?
