http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1598 Summary: Make OPAC reviews a comments system (like Flickr, YouTube, etc) Product: Koha Version: HEAD Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P3 Component: OPAC AssignedTo: jmf@liblime.com ReportedBy: oleonard@myacpl.org QAContact: koha-bugs@nongnu.org Joshua and I had the idea to use the OPAC reviews system as a basis for a comments system for bibliographic records. I think framing it as "comments" makes it easy for the user to understand, as it places it in a context they're familiar. Moving away from the term "review" lifts the burden of having to write a thorough well-structured composition (which I think is a good thing). Some pieces are missing if we want it to work this way: - Currently you can only write one review, which would eliminate the possibility of users having any kind of dialog. - Users' full name is displayed, which some may not like. Should we offer users the option of specifying a user name with which they can submit comments? - A star rating system (like Amazon's) would be great. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
