testing this patch I can't reproduce the bad behaviour before the patch. What I did: Koha > Plus > Cataloguing > default framework > reach 700 field > click on the button to open the popup "auth_finder" > entering "Jér" => I get only valid results, including, for example : Auffret Jérôme Cécil

With you patch applied, I get the same -valid- result

Did I miss something ?
