some bibliographic records include few items (between 1 to 5 items). other bibliographic records are for Serials, they are including high number of issues (items) that can reach more than 1000 items in some cases.
Does the high CPU usage only happen for records with a high number of items or does it happen also for records with a low number of items? Of course, it could be something else on the system. Is your database on the same server or a separate server?
