Button is still 'Start batch edit'. I agree with a 'Save' button, that what we have on the 'Item batch modification'.

3) It would be nice to have a checkbox like on the batch item edit in order to allow emptying the note fields. At the moment you'd have to add a space or something to clear them out.
We had lot of issue about that, I'd avoid to add it now.
