https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40844 Bug ID: 40844 Summary: SCO warning language misleading - remove duplicate warning Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Self checkout Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tech.aimee@salinapublic.org QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org SCO warning "Item is reserved for another patron upon return" - this leads patrons and staff to believe that the item is checked out but it cannot be renewed, as in they will return the item at the due date and not immediately to circulation. Clarity would look like "Item cannot be checked out, reserved for another patron." Connected to AllowItemsOnHoldCheckoutSCO: (do/don't allow) checkouts of items reserved to someone else in the SCO module. If allowed do not generate RESERVE_WAITING and RESERVED warning. This allows self checkouts for those items. At times, we do get a message similar to the proposed message above - perhaps reducing down to a singular warning message (choosing RESERVE or RESERVE_WAITING) would be best. It would also be cool to see this be customizable. Similar to 39162 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
