http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=4337 Summary: Acquisitions Records Go Blank Product: Koha Version: 2.2.9 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: Acquisitions AssignedTo: henridamien@koha-fr.org ReportedBy: joel.r.harbottle@gmail.com Estimated Hours: 0.0 Change sponsored?: --- Our current version of Koha is v2.2.9 running on a PC server. Unfortunately we can't upgrade because no newer version of Koha released for PC server. For Acquisitions we have set up a generic library code called 'ACQ' and have a generic login for anything to do with acquisitions called 'ACQ-GEN' When items are received and we create the original holding record for the item as requested by Koha when receiving the item, we put the acquiring library as: ACQ When another person logs into the system such as 'LTN-GEN' who have cataloguing, acquisitions, circ, reporting, etc. privleges on the system, if they go to the Acquisitions module to search for an item that was purchased when they view the Purchase Order record it shows up completely blank. This happens for all users including the system admin account created during install. The location of the person logged in could be set to ACQ and the record would still be blank. So only the user 'ACQ-GEN' can view the records correctly. We decided to go with a generic location because we have 8 libraries and all Acquisitions go through the main library. When our patrons go to the OPAC and find a brief catalogue record and see the holding library location as ACQ they know the item was recently acquired and still in process, and we allow them to request the item whilst it is in this process. Originally we did have a generic shelving location setup instead but this confused clients. (Acquisitions dept put the receiving holding record at the library the item is intended for). This problem still occured for every user when we utilised this old method of the generic shelving location for each library location in the system.
