Yes, I would say so. The patches here fix the reported bug and I believe are an overall improvement. We've gone back enough in time to understand past decisions made re this. @Victor please if you find any additional issues with current patches, provide step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce it. @Katrin, same, when you have the chance to test, please.
