The thesaurus linked to a field in bibliographic tells Koha that the field is authority controlled.
I am suggesting to change the configuration for the fields (100, 110, 111, 700, 710, 711) you don't want to use authorities with. The label for the setting you need to change is "Thesaurus". It contains the authority type it's linked to. If you remove that, the fields will be just clear text like other fields.
So what i want is linkage for subjects but not for authors. But according to how the parameters are done its eighter you have linkage for both or none.
I don't think that is true. For example it's common in other countries to use authorities for series. In Germany we don't have that concept. And we just remove the setting in the frameworks for the fields involved.
The fields I listed are for authors etc. not subjects. Have you at least tried to change the configuration for those as I suggested?
You can see the setting I mean on the screenshot here: https://koha-community.org/manual/latest/en/html/administration.html#editing... a-marc-subfield
"Thesaurus: means that the value is linked to the authority catalog of the selected category. Authority categories are managed in the Authority types section."
I am suggesting to remove the link for those you don't want authorities for.
The fact is even if i dont have a thesaurus it still linking to an authorities and/or creating automaticly an authorities. But i can change some parameter that dosent do that at all. But it will not do it for subject. What I want to obtain in the en is Fully no control for authors so no link no automatically crete authorities. And i want authomatically created authorities and linkage for subjects. So its in the parameter section but it will applies for all authorities which are subjects and authors. So if I put one element it will be on all. What you told me dosent have any impact on the results i'm seeking. So tahts why a division between those two types of authorities would be grand in the parameter section. I want to be able to say link me a subject authorities in zones 600 and create them automatically. and int the zones 100 and 700 DO NOT link and DO NOT create automaically. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
