I don't remember this decision...

That's what I understood from our previous comments:

I am suggesting now to: - move forward with my patches with Julian's idea in mind (adjustments are needed) - move Julian's patch to a separate but report (adjustments will be needed as well)

I will attach my patch to a separate bug report. Let's focus on stopping the updatedatabase process.
