Your change is line-for-line identical (other than one indentation change) to the follow-up that did not work for Paul.
That's both funny and odd. It definitely works for me.
For both Chris and me, too. It seems to be an interaction of the patch with data on Paul's system.
my investigations shows that the PrimaryKey is not found, resulting in a SQL that is: UPDATE borrowers SET ... WHERE =? which is, obviously, wrong :\
