I'm not close enough to the differences between MARC-8 and UTF-8 encodings to know exactly what we're losing during the save..

I've done some testing and I had a hard time having issues with MARC-8 vs UTF-8 with Library of Congress imports, but Latin-1 causes big time problems, so it'll be easiest for testing bug 35104 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
