I do not get a notice when marking the item lost and reverting a bib-level hold. I did get a notice with an item-level hold.

Test with transferred holds With an in-transit item I again did not get a notice for a bib-level hold, did get one for an item-level hold. But why send this notice at all? If the item is in-transit for fill a hold, the patron has not yet been notified that the item is ready for pickup.
I think we are erring on the side of caution here - it can be likely that if an item is lost there may not be another to fill the hold, so having them check in with the library is desired -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
