https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43713 Bug ID: 43713 Summary: Preventing spam blocks Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: cbrannon@cdalibrary.org QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org CC: martin.renvoize@openfifth.co.uk Target Milestone: --- I'm wondering, if we had quota limits on how much email could go to each specific email provider in specified time frame, if that would help prevent email servers from blocking for spam from some of the bigger libraries. I've been noticing a Comcast response bounce message: Comcast block for spam So, for example, if we could determine their threshold for this block, could we limit the queue for Comcast emails just below that threshold until, and leave the remainder of the emails in the queue until the next window that they wouldn't ding us? We could have a table of providers that we build over time, particularly from those that gripe about the number of emails going out, and if they exist in the table, those outgoing emails would be throttled by the Koha queue according to whatever time frame we set for that provider. Does that make any sense? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
