https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=24493 Bug ID: 24493 Summary: UsequeryParser wording in System Preference is not accurate Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 19.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: System Administration Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kelly@bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt@gmail.com According to the text associated with the system preference, UseQueryParser, this TRY/Don'T Try option will not affect anything however, It does affect searching. It would appear if a library does set this to TRY, it will have an impact as it appears QueryParser is installed on Koha sites by default. Can we remove this text or add a different warning, such as "This will affect all searching in KOha" Wording currently on system preference "to use the QueryParser module for parsing queries. Please note: enabling this will have no impact if you do not have QueryParser installed, and everything will continue to work as usual."
