This patch may probably break things for the NORMARC flavour. Could you make a small adjustment that makes NORMARC behave like it was MARC21? Magnuse will test BTW. A small point additionally: I see the lines <retrieval syntax="xml" name="F"/> <retrieval syntax="xml" name="B"/> in koha-conf.xml but not in retrieval-... files (only syntax=marc21).
