Not sure I understand this. Why not just change the syspref?
The idea is to prevent some preferences from being switched via the staff interface. In a consortium it may be desirable to allow some users access to system configuration, but prevent some settings from being changed accidentally or maliciously. When overririding by apache the syspref is still present but has a warn that is it overridden, the idea would be the same here - allow users to see the pref, but prevent the value from being changed -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
