[Bug 42122] New: Add ability to copy or duplicate existing MARC frameworks
https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42122 Bug ID: 42122 Summary: Add ability to copy or duplicate existing MARC frameworks Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: michael.adamyk@bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy@rijksmuseum.nl There isn't an easy way to duplicate existing MARC bibliographic frameworks currently. The framework you wish to copy must be exported, then imported again onto a new framework. It would be great to simply click a button to duplicate an existing framework, or when creating a new one to select "copy existing framework" for this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42122 --- Comment #1 from David Cook <dcook@prosentient.com.au> --- This would pair well with a "reference" framework that can't be edited but which is updated with upgrades. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. It just happens a little later. Create a new framework, then Actions - MARC structure, and you are forced to choose an existing framework to base the new one on. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. Oh wow... I don't know how I missed that. Thank you Phil! So now the question becomes... should this copy step be earlier in the process, when creating the new framework? Or should this bug be marked invalid? Or potentially a slightly related bug like David mentioned? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
