[Bug 30314] New: Microsoft font makes extra space in OPAC with Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi browsers
https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30314 Bug ID: 30314 Summary: Microsoft font makes extra space in OPAC with Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi browsers Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 20.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Browser compatibility Assignee: oleonard@myacpl.org Reporter: frank@sydt.com.tw QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org Created attachment 131850 --> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=131850&action=edit Compare issue between Firefox and other browsers Dear All, We found an issue when using Microsoft font like the attached file in OPAC. When we set the font from Microsoft to Google font. The problem is fixed. The engineer said those browsers who had this issue, within the code, found an extra "user agentstylesheet" from Google. It seems not to influence the system work, but one Koha user reports this to us. So, we also report here and hope it is not a serious problem for all Koha users. If there is something we can do, please provide more information about the changes you made in order to fix this for your installation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Great to hear from you. Very much appreciate your work on translating Koha into Chinese. I've taken a look at biblionumber 132 on the Koha from your screenshot, but I can't replicate the problem on the latest Chrome on Windows 10. In the screenshot, the problem looks like it's concerning this line of HTML: <span class="title_resp_stmt">朝碧雲新聞社編集局編著</span> On my system, those 11 Chinese glyphs are rendered using the Microsoft YaHei font, and there's no space there. -- I'm just noticing that you reported this back in March, so I'm guessing that you must have resolved your issue. I was going to say that it's a strange place for there to be a space regardless of font. I would've guessed a data error rather than a font error there. I've recently been doing more work on Koha in Traditional Chinese, so your issue caught my eye. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
