I think it's much more user friendly with the descriptions and the categories all laid out and not in a drop-down. Right now, the descriptions for each category are "hardcoded" in the template. Would it be feasible to move those in the DB? That way, when we add new categories, we would be able to add our own description. For example, if I add a category for RDA media type, I would be able to add a description saying it's meant to be used with 337$a. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. AFAIK it would be similar to what happen with tag names on frameworks, by default hardcoded on the .sql. The user can then change it at wish. IMO is much more important to have the feature of add/modify AV cats descriptions. I see users creating categories with spaces and diacritics as a workaround, to have more meaningful names. Please note that the descriptions are a very new addition - for a long time they were no instructions. We have created dozens, for 'subject funds' below funds, and lots of various fiscal periods for use in report date range selectors, and others besides. This sounds reasonable to me. What seems like the most likely scenario is that someone will be adding/editing custom authorized value categories.
