Hi
You misunderstand me again.
I really didn't - the answer is "yes". Yes to plain english (or if you put in the hard yards plain any other language), and if you want to do something special yes you can change the labels in the the templates to be whatever you want. Take a look at this http://katipo.co.nz/gallery/album27 Which is an older version of Koha, but is the simple acquisitions with no marc OR and from here is one for normal acquisistions marc OFF (but it's a big flash file so be warned.). Cheers R Does koha have facility to enter data in a
way which remotely resembles real life, such as "Title", "Director", "Certificate" etc which is applicable to DVDs, or even something which approximates to English ("Author", "Publisher") for books? The owners of the DVD library I will be installing Koha for this week require to be able to enter relevant data.

You will need to be a bit more specific about what you mean by "suitable". Libraries (particularly public libraries) already use
Koha
for DVD's and a range of media - including cataloguing websites etc as well.
I mean, can it be configured to catalogue such features as certificate, region, language, subtitles etc without the system wanting an ISBN for
them?
Yep sure - there is no requirement for an ISBN- it's not a required field
