I think that...Biblionumber is given only for records, so biblioitems holds all the entries of the records. One record can be of one itemtype, so books, cd/dvd, reference all are entered in the biblioitems. But the items table holds the list of items in a record. That's why unless you add an item in the record, it doesnot show in the items table. Moreover, items can be itemtypes other than the parent record. I think this is what you wanted to know. It's confusing, because first I though BiblioItems table is for books only, but when i added a CD/DVD item it was entered in the BiblioItems.
but not added to the items table until I add another Item within this CD/DVD..
Can anyone clarify how they work together
