Hi, 3 months ago, I sent a mail to koha-translate about Bug 15395 (Allow correct handling of plural translation). There was no reply on the mailing list, and no comment on the bug, so I try again here :) Apart from the added benefit of real plural translation capabilities, it adds some translation features in template and javascript files. For example, it could be used to make strings more translatable without having to change the phrasing (I'm looking at you, bug 15861, but there are many other bugs that do the same) It could also help removing some strings from PO files that are really hard to translate (the ones with many '%s') Also, this removes the need of declaring JS strings in .inc files, they can simply be declared where they are used, in .js files. Finally, I believe it can make things easier for both developers and translators. I still have to do some benchmarks, but as it's just a wrapper around gettext, we shouldn't have any big surprises here. https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15395 -- Julian Maurice <julian.maurice@biblibre.com> BibLibre
