We're running Koha 16.05.16 on Debian and are affected by this bug.
AFAICT there were a couple of patches written for this, which were pushed to the master/16.05.x/3.22.x branches.

hi Andreas hmm, i think this revert might have been an accident :/ i'll aim to add the patchset to the next 16.05.x release (due in the next few days) thanks for spotting this cheers, Mason
