In terms of Zebra facets, another thought might be to use different indexes for the staff client and the OPAC. Although I suppose we'd still have to have a means of telling the OPAC indexes not to include data from particular items... which is probably doable using XInclude with DOM... but not necessarily desirable. Probably much more desirable than having separate Zebra databases for the OPAC and staff client though. Although I suppose having separate Zebra databases could actually have some other benefits. But then it would be much more indexing and indexing configuration management. Hmm. Without Zebra facets, there could probably be some more rules added to filter the facets. Whaou,
This may be impossible to fix. Unless we create a new Zebra base for OPAC and remove in rebuild_zebra.pl hidden items and biblio when indexing.

Hi all,
I'm just curious whether anyone has done work specifically on the hidden items and facets. I can see that there are bugs for hiding the associated item types from the Advanced Search, and quite a bit of work has been done to make the hiding more complete - but I wasn't able to find if anything had been done with the facets.
Also quite curious if anyone has a thought on whether or not hiding associated item types will be easier or harder with 3.18+ (zebra facets).
Please, share your thoughts!
Cheers, Liz
