Hi Paul, First of all thanks for getting back to me on the issue. Yes, the ticket I'm talking about is 5549. I have signed off on this patch before since I have made modifications (see comments 27, 29, and 32) and as such I was under the impression that I am no longer eligible to sign off. I am still relatively new to Koha development and the patching process so you'll have to forgive me if I am wrong. I agree that running it in production is a very good test and thus far we haven't run across any major issues. If we have they have been addressed and patched. I also agree that this is a big issue with large bug testing. I think working out a procedure for testing this bug would be a great precursor for implementing Solr. Let me know your thoughts or if you would like any more information. Elliott Davis On 11/29/11 11:21 PM, "Paul Poulain" <paul.poulain@biblibre.com> wrote:

Hi Koha Devels, I am running the hourly loans branch in my production system and am merging it daily with master. Hi Elliott,
Do you mean http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=5549 ? I've a few comments: * about the interest of this agree it's a major improvement * if you run it in production, and are not the author of the patch, you can change the statut so "signed-off". And I tend to say using it in production is a good proof it works. Then, QA would be made, and I can promize i'll take care of QA as quickly as possible, this feature is a must, I agree. * This bug, as all bugs with a lot of comment has a problem: how to test it ? There are patch attached, branches. There is a new dependancy (comment 5). It's very complicated to understand how to test. We must address this problem for this bug, and, ideally, find a re-usable way to do so. I'll start a thread about that in a few minuts, in the meantime, please just add a comment explaining everything.
