That makes alot more sense, but I think we should probably go with Milliseconds rather than microseconds ( I don't know if there is even a way to get microseconds in PHP ). What is the purpose of the +randomnumber at the end of the timestamp? Why not just add microseconds?
Otherwise, this looks good. Standardized is always better than not.
