Try it! Do a catalogue search in the staff area and bring up the Error Console window. You'll see what I am talking about.
When I look at the Error Console from the staff client search results page I see a lot of warnings. Most if not all of them are warning of non-standard declarations in the CSS, things like "star hacks" to accommodate Internet Explorer quirks ("*html #menu li").
