Hi, Just pointing out the recent patches submitted by Chris Nighswonger related to bug 4444 [1]: http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006229.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006230.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006232.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006231.html Since this is a significant improvement over the past way of doing things and will give me a framework for more easily closing the release blocker bug 4151 [2], I intend to push this patchset in the next day or so. Before I do that, however, I am issuing a call for people to test and sign off on the patches. I'm not on the patches list so missed these. Very interesting! Good job, Chris N, very impressive. I've made several false starts at trying to tame the perl module beast for Koha and finally left the burning heap in favour of the deb packaged solutions. Looking forward to the end of perl packaging headaches. cheers rickw -- _________________________________ Rick Welykochy || Praxis Services In the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt. -- Bertrand Russell

I've reworked this feature to address some concerns and also added a script which can be run at any time from the command line to check the status of Koha Perl dependencies. As Galen mentions above, testing and sign off would be greatly appreciated. Here is the new patch series: http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006251.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006250.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006252.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006253.html http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2010-May/006254.html Kind Regards, Chris
Ok, I'm a bit behind on a Monday morning. :-) This has already been pushed, so please test from there. Kind Regards, Chris On Mon, May 17, 2010 at 9:21 AM, Chris Nighswonger <cnighswonger@foundations.edu> wrote:
