#koha meeting for installer
Hi, As was mentioned yesterday, I will be on #koha tomorrow (i.e., Wednesday, 28 November 2007) at 11 a.m. Central / 12 p.m. Eastern if anybody wishes to discuss the installer. I'm looking for information about the various problems that people have discovered and ways of resolving them, and am hoping to get us all towards a consensus. Regards, Galen -- Galen Charlton Koha Application Developer LibLime galen.charlton@liblime.com p: 1-888-564-2457 x709

You're USian, not Australian, so that's 17:00 +0000 right?

I think it would be better if people posted them to the mailing list or bugs, and posted their candidate patches publicly. (In my public repository's .git/hooks/post-update I have: git checkout mjr-installer git reset --hard git format-patch -M -C -B -o /path/to/public_html/koha-installer master which automatically makes patch files after a git push. Upgrades welcome.) Yes, please post UTC offsets rather than just TZ names. Even if most people understand the names including the offsets makes sure there is no ambiguity.

I'm not an active developer, but I am very interested in Koha. I will be setting up an install and getting more into things in the near future. I find it kind of disappointing that so little development process appears to be distributed through this mailing list. Clearly IRC is popular with many of the developers, but participating there requires exact time co-ordination which seems a bit inefficient for a geographical distributed group. Sincerely, Bradley Peters.
